Uganda diva Irene Ntale was recently last linked to a deal with Universal records. But while the rumor was going around, she came out to say, she can never sign with any label again.
She however advises young artistes that if they are blessed enough to be signed under a record label, it is good because music is not cheap. “Recording music in studio, paying songwriters, shooting videos is very costly so if you get a label willing to sign you, take it.”
She says those that are lucky enough to have the money should not bother with record labels or risk getting exploited.
“Just have a team around you and push yourself because at the end of the day, labels look to make money from your talent so they look to exploiting you and exhausting it as much as they can to get back what they have invested,” she notes.
Ntale was previously signed under Swangz Avenue.
